Limerick on Birth

Limerick on Birth

By Bluebelle—02 May 2007

Limerick Number #32024

I emerged red and wrinkled at birth,
With my humour in evident dearth.
Cried my mother, in verse,
“Can’t you do something, Nurse,
For my babe to have mirth on this earth?”

(This limerick is dedicated to the poet’s mother.)
