A Funny Poem
Original in Hindi
Ek vidyarthi nein bio-lab mein,
Ek makhi ke parr tod ke kaha,
Udd jaa…udd jaa…
Par..makhi nahin uddi !
Uss ney conclude kartey kaha,
Yeh sabit hua…ki,
Agar makhi ke parr tod diye jaaen,
Tau makhi sunn nahin sakti…..!!
My Translation :
A student in a biology lab
Clipped the wings of a fly,
And said— fly, now fly…
But the fly, didn’t fly.
The student thus concluded
From this experiment-
If a fly’s wings are clipped,
It loses its sense of hearing!!
