ASSORTED LIMERICKS
Here are 4 limericks compiled by me over the years, (1967 onwards…) from various sources.
1. A good limerick is like a good wine.

The limerick is like a good wine
Writing one takes spunk and spine
Making a rhyme is the catchy key
Modeling what most want to see
Winning that last whining line.
2. Packing a limerick.

There was a young poet name Mann,
Whose limericks never would scan.
When the said, “But the thing
Doesn’t go with a swing,”
He said, “Yes, but I always try to get as many words into the last line as ever I possibly can.”
3. Short Limerick

There once was a man from Peru
Whose limerick stopped at line two.
4. College Professor

There once was an old man of Esser,
Whose knowledge grew lesser and lesser,
It at last grew so small
He knew nothing at all
And now he’s a college professor.

Good examples of Limericks. Hope all get into the mood of writing some and displaying them.
Thanks sir.

I appreciate you for the beautiful pictures accompanying the limericks
(a new feature unlike in the past).
A poet’s writers block is well represented in the shortest one.
Wonderful. TFS.
