Tragic September 11th
What happened today on this day eight years ago was too shocking for words.The World Trade Towers in New York fell like a pack of cards to the earth and terrorist attacks were there in Pentagon in Washington. Around 3000 innocent people lost their lives.Many peoples lives were shattered for ever.The day serves as a grim reminder to all mankind that we all need to make vigourous and continuous efforts to foster harmonious relationships among various religions of the world as well as try to understand the cultures and values of all our ancient civilisations so that such dastardly acts are not repeated.Lets also offer a silent prayer for all those departed souls.
Brocaji, I join you in the prayer, totally agreeing to what you’ve said in the matter. And I only wish that the West – if it is seriously interested in uprooting terrorism at the global level – were disillusioned with, and so discarded, some of its pet and prejudiced theories – that are preventing it from going the whole hog against the menace.
